The Breath of Spring

Mao Feng literally means “hairy peaks”, referring to the young tea leaves harvested in early spring and covered with fine, silvery down. This delicate fuzz protects the leaf and contributes to the tea’s soft, refined character.

Mao Feng originates in the hills of Anhui, where misty mornings and cool temperatures slow the plant’s growth. Only the first buds and leaves of the season are picked. Minimal processing and careful heating preserve the tea’s fresh, spring-like expression.

In the cup, Mao Feng is light and open. Floral notes, young leaf, and subtle sweetness come together in a clear infusion without sharpness. This is a tea of beginnings and promise — a moment when nature is still quiet, yet already unfolding.
