Why we love this tea

Oerkruid Blend is green and wild, where earth and herb meet in a vivid harmony of scent and taste. Mint and tulsi bring bright freshness, while nettle and fireweed ground the blend with their earthy depth. Fenugreek, ginger, and thyme add a gentle warmth, softened by citrus peel and a hint of tarragon and hyssop. The result is a robust, balanced infusion that carries the strength of the soil and invites you to root yourself with calm attention.

Infusion ritual

Dosage : 1-3 heaping teaspoons of loose herbs per cup (2-3 grams per 250 ml)
Water : Pour the hot water (90 °C) over the herbs
Time : Steep gently for 8 - 10 minutes, letting the herbs dance freely in the cup
Tip : Cover the cup or teapot during infusion — this way, the volatile essential oils and the warmth are preserved.

Mint (Mentha spicata): Ultra-refreshing, but may worsen heartburn in reflux.
Holy basil leaf (Ocimum sanctum): Holy leaf that can lower blood sugar. Monitor your glucose if you use diabetes medication.
Nettle leaf (Urtica dioica): Acts as a mild diuretic. Taking water tablets or pregnant? Check with your doctor first.
Ginger pieces (Zingiber officinale): Warms you up, but in high doses may thin your blood. Take care if you use anticoagulants.
Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis): Spicy lift, but large amounts may trigger cramps; avoid during pregnancy or if you have epilepsy.
