Why we love this tea
This carefully composed blend brews into a clear straw-yellow cup, where cobalt-blue cornflower petals drift gracefully. The aroma opens fresh and citrusy with lemon balm, a herb long present in European evening infusions. Chamomile adds a honey-like warmth and lavender a floral refinement, both cherished in traditional herb gardens for centuries. On the palate, these bright notes merge with the mild anise touch of fennel seed, while St. John’s wort and valerian root contribute an earthy depth known from ancient herbal traditions. The result is a balanced composition that invites stillness and a serene moment just for you.
Infusion ritual
- Dosage : 1-3 heaping teaspoons of loose herbs per cup (2-3 grams per 250 ml)
- Water : Pour the hot water (90 °C) over the herbs
- Time : Steep gently for 7 - 10 minutes, letting the herbs dance freely in the cup
- Tip : Cover the cup or teapot during infusion — this way, the volatile essential oils and the warmth are preserved.
Quick check before you pour
Maison Tisane is all about carefree sipping. Still, even the purest herb can need a little extra attention. Below you’ll find a brief heads-up for each ingredient. Taking medication, pregnant or breastfeeding? Always check with your healthcare professional first, so tea time stays the best time.

- Valerian root (Valeriana officinalis): Perfect for unwinding but causes drowsiness. Don’t mix with alcohol or operate heavy machinery.
- St John's wort (Hypericum perforatum): Sunshine in your cup, but speeds up breakdown of contraceptives and antidepressants. Always consult if on medication.
- Chamomile (Matricaria recutita): Floral calm. Sensitive to ragweed? Test cautiously.
- Fennel seed (Foeniculum vulgare): Sweet anise taste with plant oestrogens; take care during hormone therapy or pregnancy.
